2016 Summer DUMP

Alright, order some Chinese, pop some popcorn, draw a bath... something.  Cause this is gonna take some commitment; a dump of phone photos from our jam packed past few months.  Each time I do one of these phone dumps, I make a little commitment to start posting more regularly.  I am doing that again, but our lives have gotten nothing but faster and busier.  No matter the frequency of posting, this only captures the morsels.  Alright, in no particular order...:
Last weekend of Summer.  We went down to the put-in five minutes from the house.  First time we strapped two boats on the van, paddled this area, had the boys try the paddle boards full-on by themselves and the first time Zeus got comfy in the water.
 Alder catching water boatmen beetles.

One of the first days of school, here recently.
Alder at swim practice, early in Summer.
 New pup, early Summer.
 Swim meet.
Heath wanted a pic beside the cabinet where, once his grade met a reading goal, the Asst. Principal had to move into and use as his office for some period of time.
Swim practice, Early Summer and brrrrr.
 Little piglet.

Kings Dominion.  Man, he can barely contain himself!  (Nice shirt though, says Dad, who bought it years ago on Phish lot in Colorado, and has waited for the day when they would finally wear it, and to date I think this is the only day.  :(   )
Kings Dominion again, waiting on a ride.
Just a family pic where I was practicing some photoshop skillz on my hair.  Thats all.
Zeus, chewing on a plastic dragon.

About to lose the second front tooth!

Heath, after diving into the steps.

 Glad that is behind us.
Looks ready doesn't he?  Well he wasn't.  Not at all.
Heath's Birthday morning.  Granna and Grandad visiting and...

we went to play some putt-putt,

and ride go-karts. And swing a bit in the batting cage.

Heath with the same 7-yr-old candle I used on my cake when I turned seven.  For some reason, I always kept this candle.

Shooting hoops at the boys school.  Looking at bball cards.

Lovely Lesley with little Zeus.

Alders last swim of the season.

Afer last swim meet of the season.

Big storms brought us a couple nights of no power, which is a great exercise for everyone.

Heath mad eth champs swim league this year, which meant he was involved in two days of tournament meets.

His last Champs event.

Zeus grew FAST through the Summer.

Heath earned THE coaches award.

Zeus quickly found the coolest spot in the house.

Zeus and Les, graduating from level one of manners training.

When Zeus got fixed, neither testicle was where it should be, so they had to gag him wide open with two incisions to find those little M&Ms and remove them.  This made for a very challenging 14 days of keeping his wild ass calm so some healing could take place.  Sedatives.  Zeus is half border collie and the other half we are sure.  My guess is half satan on espresso.  His energy level is just out of this world.

Heath.  Done with the art museum.

This is a project that the boys and I did for Mom.  An intense doodle exercise, beneath a top sheet with flock of birds cut out.

Warming up after an early Summer swim practice.

I love this picture.

beats me... but it made the photo dump to blog.  We will let this stand as an example of a variety of super random communications, day to day, between Lesley and me, using texts and images.

yard shot.  echinacea blooming.

Heath had strep several times in rapdi succession near end of last school year.  We thought he was a carrier, but maybe/hopefully not.  We have been free and clear this Summer.

Red Wing Roots festival.

Dive meet.  Alder was on dive team this Summer.

Mom took Alder on a spontaneous date - his first Sonic experience.  Heath nor I have yet to go to Sonic.  One day...

Took in a Richmond FLying Squirrels game one night.  I actually touched two foul balls, neither of which I could secure.

Heath reads alot.  Alot.

Alder did a very intense and serious week long basketball camp.
